Almost got this done on time but we’re still celebrating, right? After the Mass Effect Remaster announcement and even a new ME game, we’re still in full Mass Effect mode, am I right?
"That is the emergency system," Wrex said with a low growl. "You wouldn't think of having an emergency system for your planet's atmosphere, would you?"
Shepard snorted. "We almost had to at one point."
"That's a story I'd like to hear one day." Wrex adjusted his shotgun as they approached the base of the tower. "But the Citadel couldn't exist without an atmosphere, and without humans around to poke at the technology and question everything, I guess nobody thought to think of a backup system." He shrugged his massive shoulders.
"Your lives must have been really boring without us around," Shepard said with a laugh.
April, the month of Camp NaNoWriMo, where you can set your own (realistic) wordcount goal for the month. I set that goal to 11k words and added those up over all the things and
Booyah!
All in all, I wrote 12,697 words this month.
As you can see, there is a lot of Inquisitor Carver and that was indeed the reason for three 3! chapters of Lost Templar in April:
Chapters 12, 13 and 14. Carver still struggles with his role as inquisitor but for lack of better options, he takes the power and makes decisions until someone yells at him to stop. So far, no one has.
At last, our friend subby!Cullen also got a new chapter. All the sex and trust culminated in some real plot and emotions which was apparently more exciting for me than for others.
Freedom's Voice by DovaBunny@dovabunny, a fenders fic. I love me some well written fenders and this one is really good. With flashbacks to Fenris’ past, he finds his voice and the strength to stand up for what he wants. And he wants Anders.
Helter Skelter by Charlatron@charlatron. So much more than just a bunch of Cullen smut. An Inquisitor who wants simple, meaningless sex and it could all be so easy, if feelings didn’t get involved. Hach, the tropes are hungry!

Oh damn, was March a busy month. According to my spreadsheet, I wrote 17477 words last month and published six thingys. Go me!
I participated in the SpecReqs Exchange for rare pairs in Mass Effect and wrote two fics for @scientistsalarian. The first fic was Legion x Shepard smut [Shepard and the Machine]. And the second fic is a Shepard x Victus x Garrus OT3. [Echo Between These Walls]. Also smut. I wrote so much juicy smut, guys, the smut muse has smiled on me. I also published chapter 13 for [In Service to the Inquisitor], which introduced plot into the smut, can you believe it? Smut, romance, plot, conflict -- it has everything! And now to something different. I podficced the first chapter of @bexterrr‘s new fic: [The Woodcutter]. I love this fic and I’m gonna podfic the second chapter as soon as I can. I also published a [new chapter for Lost Templar in Skyhold], most of it was written in February though. Questions of leadership and doubts in abilities, and a lot of annoyance for Carver. And at last, there was this little sebris fic that @cullenlovesmen inspired. [Books Fall Down], Fenris and Sebastian. Smut again, of course. Now, a few things I’ve read:
First of all, I want to point you to the whole Spectre Requisitions 2019 archive with some amazing Mass Effect fics. Honestly, people brought their A-game this year.
The Caged Bird Sings by Moiraine. Uhm, cockcage research, you know... This is a very sweet story of Zevran x Mahariel and longterm denial.
I started reading Lovers In A Dangerous Time by queenofkadara , it’s Fenris as the introvert Inquisitor and Hawke as his extrovert side-kick. I love it already.
